Childhood changes fast and it changes quietly. One day you look up and the baby rolls are gone, the lisp has disappeared, and the little one who used to fit in your arms is suddenly asking to do things by themselves.
Simply Me was created for exactly this season. No props. No distractions. No matching outfits to stress over.
Just your child, their spirit, their personality, their right now,
preserved in timeless black and white.

Your photographer
Hi, I’m Alison.
I’m a lifelong portrait photographer and mom who believes the most meaningful portraits are the ones that feel honest, connected and completely like you.
Simply Me is a black-and-white portrait project celebrating children ages 3–12 just as they are right now, silly, soulful, shy, bold, playful or serious.
This exhibit is my way of honoring the unique personality of each child and creating timeless photographic artwork their families can treasure for years.

HOW OLD DOES MY CHILD NEED TO BE?
Simply Me sessions are designed for children roughly 2–12 years old, but every child is different. Fill out the form and we’ll figure out the fit
together on your call.
WHAT SHOULD MY CHILD WEAR?
Simple, solid colors work beautifully in black and white. I’ll give you specific guidance at the consultation but the short version is:
keep it comfortable and don’t stress. This is the one session where the outfit barely matters.
MY CHILD IS SHY OR HIGH-ENERGY. IS THAT OKAY?
Absolutely! The session moves at your child’s pace, not the other way around.
